I’m Jason Cliffen, a drummer and producer based in Lanark Highlands, Ontario. I have been playing drums for 20 years and I have worked full-time in the music industry since 2012. I studied music formally in college and privately with renowned teachers in Ontario. I continue to study music every day in a variety of styles and techniques. Over the years I have played in several bands in the Toronto music scene. Currently, my primary focus is studio recording projects and teaching from my home studio in Lanark, Ontario.

I offer lessons to all ages and skill levels.

Audio Recording/Music Production Lessons

I have been a recording engineer for 10 years with formal training from Harris Institute and St. Lawrence College. After my training, I went to work at a Toronto recording studio formerly called ’The Hive’, now called ’Soleil Sound’. I continue to work for Soleil Sound under a subsidiary company called ‘Bedtracks’, which is a music licensing company. Through my work with Soleil Sound/Bedtracks I have had my self-produced music placed in over 200 episodes of TV. Currently, I record drums from my home studio for my own releases as well as for other artists.

I’m offering lessons to students looking to learn skills in audio recording and music production. 0-5 years of experience.
